Life in Nottingham

Been here for abt 1 mth ++....how time flies...it seems I just got here but in fact I have already staying here for 1 mth n 3 days...

I wouldnt say the life in nottingham if boring, perhaps in a more proper way to say this is postgrad's life is as great n happening as life of undergrad...This is the sum up of wat I heard frm almost all frens who doing their master program here..Everyone misses the undergrad life....but life hav to move on...

The LLM course is not as hectic as I tot it would..only 3 days seminar a week...Its works more like a cumulative system where bitter comes after sweet....the most hectic period will be next yr May which requires us to handle 4 exams n 4 assignments...Anyway...long time to go before that due date....

Made alot of international frens n clsmates here....as well as lots of random ''HI Bye'' frens..lol...

The city is much much bigger than Essex and hence I tks some time to get used to it....mainly that I will need to tk bus wherever I go...luckily the place I stay is in between the Uni n City centre, so wither way wouldnt tk that long to reach...

Life here wouldnt be this smooth and favorably without the aid of my lovely cousin n her hubby...
the couple's hospitality for the first few days stay is appreciated...
the troublesome and burdensome house move-in turns into a piece of cake...
Receiving lots of stuff frm them instead of buying....
My cousin actually tk the trouble went grocery shopping for the first few days..
N now will go their place for dinner 1 weekday n Saturday....
What can i say? Its really well-being to hav a close relative in overseas...

A wonderfully beautiful place...used to b the house of a duke n his wife..long story,..even ''The pride & Prejudice'',''The Wolfman" and the recent ''The Dutches" came here for the movie shooting....Forgot to tk pic with my cousin's bf...lol....

Last week went to the ALEA casino which requires not even a penny to join  membership n ply Mahjong for the whole night with free drinks..lol....ply until 4 am...but the streets in nottingham reflects such a huge imparity for day time n night time....at night the city centre turn into '"Oszotomienie"" where everyone is drinking n getting drunk...abit scary...and sometimes the police seems ntg much to do abt it ...No wonder Nottingham has the highest crime rate among the UK county...

Well…have been typing for more than a page in Word I guess..lol..1 mth never post entry is as such..lol…

update on 1am 7/9/09

Went to KL for a week last week, visiting Eric..tumpang Robin’s car…lol…first time sit his car…it seems working in kl indeed traint his driving skills…haha…although it’s a 4 hrs drive, but we keep talking non-stop, very soon and unconsciously arrived in KL…Met up with Eric…then get so shocked first met him…dun wanna say out the reason…haha…haih….

Staying abt 5,6 days in KL, everyday seems got stg to do but it doesn’t seems so important…Go here n there…at least better slacking at home….meeting up with old frens…talking craps n bullshits…enjoyin hols…sometimes is a relish…

Then went to apply uk visa…haih…crap new PBS system…made mi go 2 rounds…anyway get to submit at last..waiting for collection next week…

BK klg…as usual…Gym…Tv n FB…hahaha….

Just finished watching a 1997 thriller – THE DEVIL’S ADVOCATE, surprisingly recommended by my dad which he found in PPS…cool le..even my dad watching PPS…hahaha…

The Devil’s Advocate, based on a novel by Andrew Neiderman, starring starring Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino and Charlize Theron…the combination already catch the attention. (I was just wondring did  Charlize did the nude scene herself or a stand-in..haha)..Well, with its title, apparently it is a plot about lawyer..but I reckon it’s more on the field of chirstianity which emphasize on fame n freedom…I am not a Christian n hence not quite familiar wit those bible sayings…but I think I still can catch what the story is telling…with some question marks though…lol….Anyway, it’s quite a nice movie to catch…I was just wondering y this movie doesn’t seems too be a hit at that time..wat a shame…

PS: About one more week then I will bk to Uk...bk to uni life which I need to get myself familiar with the new environment...hmm...exciting n lookin forward...

超速绯闻

刚看了IVAN N久前介绍的韩国电影“超速绯闻”，现在才‘翻’出来看…哈哈…最近都瞒空闲的，所以都在‘过滤’很多存放在电脑里的电影。

新颖手法拍的电影，故事夸张另类，不过又挺搞笑的，尤其戏里的小孩太可爱搞怪了。可能越来越不喜欢看无聊，不知所谓的电影，所以还会觉得这部电影不错吧，据说还拿了不少奖。值得一看，大家有空可以看看。

PS：哈哈，如crystal之前说的，我的xanga越来越像是在写review了...lol
